“Applying AI to Enhance Performance” Exclusively for the Accounting – Finance Department of Dong Do No.6 Construction Company

With the aim of improving work efficiency, data processing quality, and management reporting capability of the Accounting – Finance Department, Lead-UP Academy has recently implemented an On-the-Job Training & Coaching (OJT) program with the theme “Applying AI to Enhance Performance”, designed exclusively for the Accounting – Finance Department (AFD) of Dong Do No.6 Construction Company.

The program was designed following a hands-on training and on-site coaching approach, focusing on integrating AI directly into daily accounting and finance tasks, rather than delivering theoretical training or generic tool demonstrations.

On-the-job training – Connecting AI with real work

Unlike traditional centralized training programs, the program was conducted directly at the Accounting – Finance Department, using the company’s actual computers, system data, Excel files, vouchers, and real operational reports.

The Lead-UP Academy expert team:

  • Worked side by side with the accounting and finance staff;
  • Observed the current working processes;
  • Provided step-by-step training and coaching on applying AI to specific tasks, while addressing questions arising during daily AI application.

This approach helped participants clearly understand when AI should be used, for which tasks, and to what extent, thereby avoiding mechanical application or over-dependence on technology.

Training content focused on enhancing work efficiency

Within the program framework, the key training contents included:

  • Applying AI to support data checking, error detection, and identification of anomalies in accounting figures;
  • Supporting faster data aggregation, processing, and reporting, while reducing manual operations;
  • Applying AI to interpret data and prepare management reports for senior leadership;
  • Supporting the standardization of work checklists, internal processes, and professional documentation;
  • Creating virtual assistants for each specialized functional area within the Accounting – Finance Department;
  • Orienting the use of AI as a work assistant to enhance processing quality, without replacing professional judgment or expertise.

All content was delivered through a “learn – do – adjust – reflect” approach, ensuring participants could apply the knowledge immediately to their daily work.

Initial outcomes of the program

Through the on-the-job training and coaching program, the Accounting – Finance Department of Dong Do No.6 Construction Company has:

  • Gradually optimized the time spent on repetitive tasks;
  • Improved data accuracy and consistency;
  • Enhanced the ability to analyze and present reports from a management perspective;
